University of Louisville Visiting Professor Position

The Department of Anthropology at the University of Louisville invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Anthropology with an Old World archaeology focus, beginning August 2015. Research interests are open, but candidates should be prepared to teach introduction to archaeology, courses on lithic technology and the archaeology of modern human origins, archaeology of the Middle East. In addition, candidates must be able to develop graduate-level courses in their area of expertise. Preference given to the Arabian Peninsula, but other regions will be considered. Candidates must have completed the Ph.D. Preferred candidate will have evidence of excellence in teaching, a current research project, completed professional papers and/or publications, willingness to involve students in research, and willingness to foster community engagement.
