The Humanities Center for Advanced Studies “Words, Bones, Genes, Tools: Tracking Linguistic, Cultural and Biological Trajectories of the Human Past” of the University of Tübingen (http://www.wordsandbones.uni-tuebingen.de) seeks to fill a position of

Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d, E 13 TV-L, 100%) in Paleoanthropology.

The area of expertise should be human evolution, with emphasis on early hominin adaptation. A background in virtual anthropology or biomechanics is desirable. The position should start October 1st, 2022 and will be limited to 2 years.

The successful candidate should show an excellent research and publication record. He or she will be expected to contribute to the research, teaching and dissemination activities of the Center (symposia, colloquia, retreats). Requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in Human Evolution or equivalent and an outstanding research record.

Salary will be according to the German Salary System TV-L 13, 100%. The University of Tübingen wishes to enhance the share of employed women in research and teaching.
